Church of Geneva hosts spring rummage sale – Shaw Local

The United Methodist Church of Geneva (UMCG) is hosting its spring rummage sale the last week of April.

The sale runs from Thursday, April 25 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 26 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday, April 27 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The sale ends with UMCG’s ‘Fill-A-Bag’ option for $8.

The sale includes an assortment of gently used items, including various household products, furniture, clothing, books, games, children’s items and more, according to a church news release.

According to the press release, the top floor of the UMCG will sell jewelry and luxury fashion items.

The church has more than two floors of great bargains and the library will be overflowing with delicious homemade baked goods for sale, according to the press release.

UMCG is located at 211 Hamilton Street in downtown Geneva.

Proceeds from last fall’s rummage sale totaled more than $12,500 and UMCG’s Women’s Ministry group was able to distribute funds to TriCity Family Services, Mutual Ground, Northern Illinois Food Bank, Feed My Starving Children, TriCity Health Partner Med/Dental Clinic, Valley Shelter Workshop, Pullman Tech Workshop, Midwest Mission Dist. Center, DaySpring Native American UMC, Kids Alive and Hesed House.
