Roadchef opens a new LEON branch at Sedgemoor Southbound Services

The opening will increase choice for travelers on the M5

Roadchef, one of the country’s largest Motorway Service Area (MSA) operators, is opening a new LEON branch at its Sedgemoor Southbound location on the M5. As Roadchef continues its expansion across the country, this is the second opening in Somerset for LEON and the most westerly location in Britain.

Located on the M5 southbound, between J21 and J22, the outlet offers a quick, convenient yet healthy option to eat on the go for travelers taking a break at the campsite. The restaurant offers all the typical LEON menu favorites and features several self-order kiosks, allowing time-pressed road users to reduce queuing and waiting times within the service area.

Commenting on the opening, Howard Lockwood, Catering & Brand Development Director at Roadchef, said: “We are pleased to welcome a LEON branch to Sedgemoor Southbound. LEON’s focus on healthy and delicious food aligns perfectly with our commitment to offering travelers a wide range of quality food options.”

“LEON’s reputation for tasty and nutritious meals will be a big draw for travelers looking for satisfying dining options on the go. This partnership reflects the changing tastes of consumers and highlights Roadchef’s commitment to meeting those evolving preferences.”

This new opening marks a continuation of an ongoing partnership, with Roadchef having opened eleven outlets across their sites since 2018, after the MSA operator opened their first LEON in Wales at Roadchef Magor in 2023.

In addition to LEON, Roadchef Sedgemoor Southbound offers a range of services to make traveling easier and more enjoyable. Travelers can enjoy free Wi-Fi for the first two hours, plenty of free parking and access to some of Britain’s most popular shops. Additionally, Roadchef has upgraded all their EV chargers to 50 kW with contactless payment, powered by 100% renewable energy, making it easier than ever for environmentally conscious travelers to charge their vehicles.
