Identities of eight people killed in bus crash in Steel Steelport – Tzaneen Voice

STEELPORT: The identities of eight people killed in a horrific bus and truck crash on the R555 have been revealed.

The five men and three women were killed while on their way to their construction site at the mines when their truck collided with a bus on the R555 in the Steelpoort area.

Sekhukhune District Executive Mayor Minah Bahula, who visited the families on Friday, called on everyone to support the affected families and urged psychosocial support for those affected by this devastating event.

The deceased are identified as follows:

1. Rachel Maphanga Ga Mampuru Village

2. Maria Malatjie from the village of Bothashoek

3. Raymond Mokoena from Shakung Village

4. Ndziniza Nicholas from – Ga Phasha (originally – Eswatini)

5. Ndziniza Ncaba from Ga Phasha (originally – Eswatini)

6. Hector Nyalungu from Bushbuckridge

7. Lucky (a Zimbabwean citizen)

The eighth victim is currently unidentified and unknown to authorities.

Meanwhile, the affected families are still waiting for official post-mortem reports from the authorities.
