Netflix is ​​adding 12 new movies and shows this week (April 21, 2024).

A new week is here, and with it comes a bunch of new movies and shows on Netflix! While there aren’t many new additions coming this week, there might be one or two things you’re excited to check out. The new films and shows include a new supernatural series, a new crime miniseries and an Oscar-winning film starring Will Smith.

Stands first Dead boy detectives! The series will be released on Netflix on Thursday, April 25, 2024. The series follows two dead boys (as you might have guessed) who decide not to enter the afterlife and stay on Earth to investigate crimes. And they end up working together with a clairvoyant teenage girl. The show stars Lukas Gage, Briana Cuoco, George Rexstrew, Jayden Revri, Cassius Nelson and Ruth Connell.

More in the mood for a true crime? Even though this is not a documentary, The Asunta case is based on a true story. The miniseries follows two parents who find themselves at the center of their daughter’s murder case. The case shocked Spain in 2013, and while the parents reported their daughter missing, the case turned against them when she turned up murdered. The miniseries will be released on Netflix on Friday, April 26.

King Richard also coming to Netflix this week! The film that tells the story of the Williams sisters and their father comes to Netflix on Wednesday, April 24. The film stars Will Smith,
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Saniyya Sidney, Demi Singleton, Tony Goldwyn, Jon Bernthal, Mikayla Lashae Bartholomew and Daniele Lawson. Will Smith won an Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his role as Richard Williams.
