Buffalo, NY – The Le Moyne College men’s and women’s track and field teams each placed fifth at the University at Buffalo Alumni Invitational on Saturday at UB Track & Field Stadium.

The host country Bulls came first among the men with 283 points. Daemen University finished second with 95 points, St. Bonaventure University was third with 72 points, Colgate University was sixth with 66 points and the Dolphins were fifth with 55 points.

Buffalo also came first among the women with 212 points. Niagara University earned 120 points to place second, Daemen earned 89 points for third place, D’Youville University placed fourth with 62.5 points and the Dolphins placed fifth with 49 points.

Sophomore redshirt Matthew Frisa (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) came second in the 400 meter hurdles in 58.49 seconds.

Freshman Christopher Moser (Camillus, NY/West Genesee) finished fourth in the 400-meter dash in 50.68 seconds. He also finished sixth in the 200-meter dash in 22.84 seconds.

Sophomore Cyril Anderson (Manchester, NH/Manchester) placed fourth in the javelin with a score of 126 feet, 11 inches.

The redshirt junior quartet Jeremy Plumley (Camden, NY/Camden)senior Alex Colonno (Glenmont, NY/Bethlehem)second year Joseph Pecoraro (Staten Island, NY/St. Joseph’s by the Sea) and freshmen Jacob Makhlouf (Liverpool, New York/Liverpool) finished sixth in the 4×400 meter relay in 3:44.48.

Freshman Terry Tillock (Valley Stream, NY / Valley Stream South) finished sixth in the 400 meter hurdles in 1.03.46.

Freshman Joseph Doran (Camden, NY/Camden) finished sixth in the hammer throw with a distance of 131 feet, 9 inches.

Senior Felix Pena (Bronx, NY) placed sixth in the javelin with a throw of 80 feet, 3 inches.

Sophomore redshirt Connor Scott (Camillus, NY/West Genesee) finished seventh in the 100-meter sprint in 11.64 seconds. In the 200 meter sprint he finished ninth in 23.34 seconds.

Pecoraro placed seventh in the javelin with a distance of 76 feet, 11 inches.

Junior Jack Gibson (Ilion, NY/Central Valley Academy) finished eighth in the 5000 meters in 15:34.48.

Junior Brandon Scott (Camillus, NY/West Genesee) finished ninth in the 400-meter dash in 51.79 seconds.

Senior Matthew Bartolotta (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) earned two points in the 5000 meters by finishing 11th in 15:41.27.

Sophomore Abigail Seaman (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 34 feet, 0 inches. She also finished seventh in the high jump with a height of 1.20 meters.

Redshirt junior Madison Kozyra (Marcy, NY/Whitesboro) finished second in the discus with a distance of 127 feet, 9 inches. She also placed sixth in the hammer throw with a score of 121 feet, 4 inches.

Freshman Anna Verdine (Newark, New York/Newark) finished fourth in the high jump by clearing the bar at 4 feet, 9 inches. She also placed ninth in the long jump with a leap of 15 feet, 4.25 inches.

Redshirt junior Ashley Dobranski (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) took fifth place in the javelin with a distance of 84 feet, 2 inches.

Freshman Rosalie Vincent (Syracuse, NY/Bishop Grimes) finished sixth in the 100-meter sprint in 13.06 seconds. She advanced to the finals by recording a program record time of 12.48 seconds in the first round. She also finished sixth in the 200-meter dash in 26.90 seconds.

Freshman Mackenzie Ples (Lowville, New York/Lowville) finished in sixth place in the 3000 meter steep pursuit with a time of 12:28.68.

Redshirt junior Sophia Bisognano (Albany, NY/Colony) finished seventh in the 5000 meters in 19.00.13.

Freshman Stephanie James (Schenectady, NY/Scotia-Glenville/Saint Rose) earned one point in the 400-meter hurdles by finishing 11th in 1:14.46.

The Dolphins close out the regular season at St. John Fisher University’s Cardinal Classic Invitation on Saturday at the Polisseni Track & Field Complex.
