Farmer dies by suicide after crop failure in Telangana’s Bhupalpally

BHUPALPEEL: Konda Ramesh, a 44-year-old farmer from Tekumatla in Bornapalli village, died by suicide due to heavy losses due to drying of his crops.

According to reports, Ramesh cultivated rice on his five-acre farmland, but lack of water in the final stages caused the entire crop to wither and suffer serious damage.

Faced with huge financial setbacks, Ramesh went to Burnapalli Gutta, near his farm, and hanged himself from a tree.

The police have filed a report and are currently investigating the matter.
